My meeting with Dr. Terrill, a board-certified dermatologist for over 30 years, inspires me to continue exploring the field of dermatology. Throughout the week, I conducted several cold calls and emails to professionals in order to gain the opportunity to conduct research interviews, which is also how I got in contact with Dr. Terrill. This Friday, I had an interview with him as we discussed general aspects of the field as he began to speak very highly of his history in the field. During the interview we discussed the impact of dermatology, alongside the process he uses to diagnose and treat clients. We discussed a variety of topics ranging from my original works project, on combination versus monotherapy, to the benefits and challenges that he has faced in the field throughout his career. I was very interested to hear about his experiences, as it helped me further my research and understanding of the complexities within the field. As such, I am looking forward to my next interview with the other dermatological sites that I called and our Business Symposium next week. The Business Symposium will provide me with a unique experience in interviewing professionals in an array of diverse fields, allowing me to practice and perfect my interview skills with various professionals. I am excited to broaden my knowledge as I continue learning about professionalism and my own future in dermatology.
