This week in ISM, I took a large step forward to completing my composite research for my original work project, as I finished bridging the gaps in what I had found in my research on acne treatments and its effects in varying cases of severity that served to guide my study. Alongside this, I have finally been able to finish analyzing the process of designing a treatment plan according to recent medical guidelines. As such, I am able to have confidence in the combination and comparison aspects of my research, as it provides extensive background knowledge on the prescription of treatments and under which conditions they should be prescribed. Since this is my first time conducting this kind of project, I was initially worried about the process and the end result, but with guidance from more experienced professionals, I believe that my study will become a good point of comparison for clinical trials. Currently, I still need to finish my assessment on the treatment of combination therapy, and its exact specificities in regards to the treatment plan to make it more realistic and feasible. Now looking back, I truly believe that this project has helped me grow as it has vastly expanded my view on the field and gave me the background information to delve deeper into the field.
