This week in ISM my Original Work journey came to an end. Looking back on my work, I realized just how much I have grown since I started. Over the past few weeks, I made numerous accomplishments including teaching myself how to create a care plan, learning how different dermatological treatments effect skin types, and how to react to the effects of symptomatic appearances. There were a few things that proved to be a significant challenge, one of which being considering the potential for negative circumstances as a result of treatment. Originally, I did not even think about considering this as a factor, but I soon realized that the inclusion of this would make my treatment plan more feasible and realistic. So to overcome these issues, I researched solutions. I started speaking with several dermatologists near me, in order to gain a more holistic idea of the cases they will generally see and how they deal with them. This allowed me to get a wider view of the entire process of treatment for a patient, as dermatologists continually build on issues as they appear. Overall, I think that this project gave me a boost of confidence in moving forward as I proceed to learn more about the intricacies of dermatology.
